Street art tour in Palmanova and Calvià

Are you coming to an urban art tour in Palmanova and other areas of Calvià? Every year the BetArt project invites urban artists to fill the spaces of the municipality with colour. The aim is for them to make artistic-urban interventions to expand the open-air Museum of Urban Art. They do this through contextualised works in the public space. The intention is for it to be a museum for the use and enjoyment of the residents and visitors of Calvià. In this way, the squares and streets become a more attractive space for strolling. In addition, the artistic projects that are carried out bring citizens closer to art in a more daily environment than the one traditionally known, without doors or opening hours. In short, an urban art tour in Palmanova, as well as in the other neighbouring municipalities, which is well worth a visit.

The result: a beautiful urban art tour

The urban art tour in Palmanova includes 17 artworks. If you're in the area of Palmanova and Magaluf, it's a great plan. From The Blue Bar restaurant, we recommend that you walk around and discover these true works of art.

And if you like, you can extend the walk in the neighbouring municipalities such as El Toro, Son Ferrer, Santa Ponça, Peguera...

BetArt was launched in 2012 and is a joint initiative of the Calvià 2004 Foundation and the Calvià Town Hall. The objectives considered the core of the project are the following:

  • The realisation of artistic interventions on the streets that interact and dialogue with citizens and visitors.

  • Creation of synergies between artists and public and private entities.

  • The promotion of a new space for meeting and contact between different cultural agents.

  • Participation of local creators.

  • Enhancement of the municipality of Calvià through the creation of new tourist attractions.

  • The beautification of strategically located public and private spaces (or the use of degraded spaces).

You can find all the information to follow these urban art routes in Calvià on the official websites of the BetArt project and Calvià Town Hall.
